Pelvis is a go
They heard from the pelvis specialist. He is ready to do surgery. They will try to do it tomorrow at the same time as the arm, if its not working out then it will for sure be done on Wednesday. The specialist said that she will need 2 pins in her back and either a metal plate or the stabilizing bar in the front. The risks are hitting nerves and other general surgery risks. They estimate that it will be 4 weeks until she can go from a bed to a wheel chair and after 8 weeks she will be able to try to start using both the pelvis and the leg again, assuming all goes well. I'm not sure where in that time frame she will be able to come home or if she will be able to at all. This is a big one. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers, I know that it has helped and we have felt and seen the effects of your support! We'll post as soon as we know more tomorrow. G'nite.

Many thank you's for setting up this blog. It was so hard being out of town & I couldn't believe what I was hearing about my favorite sick kick. Thank you Brooke for the phone call. I know you did it only so we could take care of her bus run but I appreciated it anyway. Donna is an amazing person and the Lord blesses her kind. She's in for a long long process but she will pull through. Remember after the trials come the blessings. Faith and prayers make amazing things happen and as you already know. I will miss her terribly but my thoughts and prayers are with her and her amazing family. Hang in there and may God bless you all. Marie
You guys are amazing! Thanks for letting us be a part. No one deserves the best that the Lord can give more than your Mom and Dad- well all of you. She will get those blessings it's just that they come in all shapes and sizes. Keep watching for the blessings- every day focus on the blessings and it will make this experience that is going to be forever long into one of the best of your lives even though it is really one of the worst. Give everybody our love. We'll be watching and praying along with the rest.
